Cerastil AE – Is a fantastic and unique liquid graphite non-stick agent. CERASTIL AE Is a suspension of finely divided graphite crystals with special stabilizing and protective additives, in a water soluble base. As shipped, it is a liquid with the consistency of a latex paint. It can be brushed, sprayed, rolled or dipped onto any surface without running or sagging. Cerastil AE dries by evaporation, leaving a smooth, high density close knit layer of graphite with a low coefficient of friction. It has high electrical and thermal conductivity. The graphite coating contains no metallic additives or impurities. It is greaseless, oilless and will not stain or hold dirt. The dried coating will not crack, nor melt and run at any temperature, is non-toxic, tasteless, odourless and non-corrosive. It may be buffed to a "mirror" finish. When no longer needed, it is removed with cold water. CERASTIL AE coatings have good resistance to animal and vegetable oils, greases and petroleum hydrocarbons. Neither the liquid nor the dried coatings support the growth of micro-organisms and do not require preservatives. Use as a release agent and lubricant in casting moulds, extrusion billets, dies, core boxes and hot pressing. As a stop-off and anti-weld coating, forging lubricant, parting media between layers, etc. Excellent graphite mould wash.
